ARTISTIC ASSISTANT

Signature Theatre Company seeks an Artistic Assistant to support the theatre’s artistic staff and perform other duties in the area of artists’ services and general administration. The position will serve as an administrative assistant to the Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director, including answering phones and email, maintaining the Artistic Director’s schedule and correspondence, preparing presentations for the Artistic Director, preparing agendas and taking notes at meetings, maintaining an archival record of the Artistic Director’s activities, and other general administrative tasks. The artistic assistant will also support other areas of the artistic department, including intern supervision, contact with artists, organizing alumni events, and maintaining files and archives of the department. Other duties will include managing artists’ services (including arranging travel), company events, coordinating Signature’s intern program, and coordinating house seats. Strong phone and computer skills are essential, some experience in artistic administration and company management is also helpful, as is a sense of humor. CAPITAL CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Signature Theatre Company, one of New York’s leading off-Broadway theatre companies, is seeking a Capital Campaign Manager. Reporting to the Development Director, the Campaign Manager is responsible for working with the Board, administrative staff and consultants of Signature Theatre Company to manage the daily operations of its capital campaign. The Campaign Manager will play an integral role in the strategy development and execution of all aspects of the campaign. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for maintaining overall fundraising calendar; overseeing the preparation of campaign correspondence; providing comprehensive donor research and analysis; organizing campaign committee meetings as well as coordinating appointments and communications between volunteer leadership and prospective donors; managing campaign related events; and maintaining prospect, donor and gift records. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years development experience, with excellent writing and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, demonstrated organizational and time management skills as well as familiarity with donor database management software, preferably Tessitura, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of/passion for theatre. This is a full-time position with benefits including health, dental, optical, and 401(k). Salary commensurate with experience. E.O.E.
